LOS specializes in many areas including anxiety, depression, loss and grief, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, perinatal mood disorders, and our therapists have advanced training in treating teens and children.

Skills Training

Skills training involves teaching individuals specific techniques and strategies to handle stress, manage emotions and navigate challenges in healthy ways. These coping skills are essential for helping individuals reduce the impact of stressors, respond effectively to triggers and maintain emotional stability. By building these skills, clients are better equipped to handle daily life, and enhance their overall well-being.

Medication Training

Medication Management involves educating individuals about their diagnosis, symptoms and prescribed psychiatric medications as well as providing ongoing assistance to ensure safe, effective and consistent use of medication as part of their overall treatment and recovery. This is particularly important because understanding medication, its effects and managing adherence are often essential for symptom management, recovery and quality of life.

Psychosocial Rehabilitative Services

Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) is a therapeutic approach that aims to help adults with mental health conditions develop the skills, confidence and social supports necessary to live independently, engage meaningfully in society and achieve personal goals. PSR is particularly relevant for individuals with serious and persistent mental health conditions as the focus is to enhance their quality of life and promote recovery beyond symptom management.

Case Management

Case management is a collaborative, client-centered approach that involves coordinating various services and supports to help individuals with mental health conditions achieve their recovery goals. Qualified Mental Health Professionals work closely with clients to identify needs, connect them with appropriate resources, and provide ongoing support, often serving as advocates to ensure their clients receive consistent and integrated care.
